Trained as a classical musician, Francesca’s began early picking up a microphone at the age of 4, and formal training started on piano at the age of 6. She has been electronic music scene for more than 15 years, and the last few years her career has been gaining what looks to be unstoppable momentum. She’s been called “Queen of [Damien Lazarus’s] Crosstown Rebels” and has had releases on staples such as, Culprit, Matt Tolfrey’s Leftroom, Digweed’s Bedrock Records . Francesca is a veteran in the world of electronic music, and has Dj’ed with top artists such as Art Department, Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, Dj Harvey. If you could go to space and return, how long would you stay for, who would you bring, and where would you go?
I would go for ever and everywhere, I would go with Nasa astronauts and Prince.

Where were you born?
I was born near Lake Garga in Italy

What type of music did you listen to growing up?
I was listening to Kraftwerk, Mike Olfield, Laurie Anderson, Pink Floyd, Giorgio Moroder , Blondie, Lucio Battisti, Mina and many more.

If you could remix one of those artists music, and open for them, who would it be?
Mike Olfield, “Foreign Affair”

If an ambulance is on its way to save someone, and it runs someone over, does it stop to help them?
Yes

Why do men have nipples?
Because once they were women

I don’t think man evolved from monkeys but I believe they are aliens that come from another planet

Is it still illegal to park next to a fire hydrant, even if your car is on fire?
Yes

If you had to come up with a weird name for a record label, what would it be? 
little Star shaped croquette records

What is Satan’s last name?

We assume you create awkward moments, or revel in awkward moments… are there any that come to mind?
Probably while I am sleeping

Why do people say they “slept like a baby” when babies wake up every few hours?
Cause babies wake up cause they are hungry they dont suffer from insomnia

If you had to come up with a weird name for a track, what would it be?
squared circles dotted angles

When lightning strikes the ocean, why don’t all the fish die?
cause they are waterproof

Did Noah have woodpeckers on the ark?
If he did, where did he keep them?
Flying over

Why put a towel in the dirty clothes basket if when you get out of the shower you are clean?
cause we are never clean enough

What happens to an irresistible force when it hits an immovable object?
it bounces back

If there’s a speed of sound and a speed of light, is there a speed of smell? 
Ask the guy who puts the towel in the dirty clothes basket when he gets out of the shower

Why is a carrot more orange than an orange?
Sicilian oranges are more orange than carrots

Why is tuna sometimes called “tuna fish”? Chicken is never called “chicken bird”.
Not sure probably cause there are tuna birds and chicken fish

Why can’t women put on mascara with their mouth closed?
Cause she need to close the eye, try

At what point in your career as a Artists, did you realize that you were “All In”.
When I started to tour a lot and I didn’t have time to spend in the studio so much anymore, than I realised I was all in and had to learn how to manage my career.

What is your ideal set length, and what’s the longest set you’ve played? 

There isn’t an ideal set length it depends how is the energy flow between you, the music and the people. Longest set for me was 8 hours in London.

What’s the best sound system you’ve ever heard?
I heard many, Manik from London was one of the best and Immersion sound system too.

Where’s the best sound system you’ve ever played on?
It was in London on Manik. I played on Manik several times back in the days!

Can you describe how your style music sounds? (For context, it’s 3AM, and your playing
a warm open air venue, with an amazing sound system and there’s 1500 people who are huge fans of yours)
I would probably try to understand what the crowd is asking for, what their energy is like and try to connect to them. I don’t mean my sets are always different but if you go into details they are.

What’s the most memorable set you’ve heard in the last few months? 
Point G, in London. He played amazing. It was a live set from outer space.
Full of amazing sounds and harmonies and bouncing grooves, exactly how I like it.
